DISASTER!
People have been interested in disasters. We are excited and frightened by them. There are many kinds of disasters in the world and some of them were not predictable several years ago, but now computers and many scientific machines can help to give warnings of possible disasters.
A volcano is one of disasters. If erupting, it will blow the cloud of ash in a large area. Sometimes mountains carry away lava. It is dangerous so people are in the panic if lava flows near residential areas. We often classify lava into three types and they are hard one, watery soft one, and those of middle hardness. Hard lava tends to comes out from a global mountain, and watery soft lava tends to come out from a flat mountain, and lava of middle hardness tends to comes out from a mountain of middle height. Therefore we can predict what kinds of lava come out to check the form of the mountain.
A flood is also one of disasters. If a flood happens, many inhabitants die of swallowed in a muddy stream. An infectious disease also causes death because people have to spend in a dirty state for days.
Disasters are very dangerous and they kill many people every year. All we can do is escaping. Even if predicting, we can never control them.

RAINFORESTS
There are rain forests around the equator. The area is hot all the year round and usually between 20 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius every day. The weather is always wet and most rain forests have more than 200 mm of rain in a month.
Rain forests are important because more that half the species of plants and animals of the Earth live in the rain forests. Moreover the people of the rain forests have always used plants to make medicines and we can recover from some diseases by having the medicines. There are rubber trees there and rubbers are made of the trees.
More than fifty million people live in the rain forests of the world and most of them don’t hurt the forest that they live in. They eat the fruits that grow on the forest trees, but they don’t cut them down. They kill some animals to eat, but they don’t destroy the species.
We shall never know about some animals which live in the rain forests because every year about a thousand different species disappear for ever. Many animals are in danger of extinction because we are destroying the rain forests. To take care of the animals are certainly important, but not to contact with the animals and the forests may be more important for us.

Book Review 13
The Big Picture
There was Ken Harada who was a photographer. His job was to take pictures of famous people and sell them. His wife’s name was Sachiko and their son’s name was Tetsuro. Ken was going to take a picture of Takahanada who was the famous sumo star and his girlfriend, Kumiko Okada who was a beartiful actress. Many photographers wanted to take a picture of them but only Ken could take it and he thought the picture would be expensive.
He took a taxi to go back to his home and a car came beside the taxi. There was a man with a gun. Ken managed to escape and he went back to his home. As soon as entering his home, he watched out of the window but nobody was around his home. He and his wife were not living together and he went to his wife’s house. When he went back to his house again, his room was different from usual. Everything in there was broken. He realized who did it.
He was taken to somewhere by a mafia but he could go away from them and went to a police station. There was another accident. That was a murder affair and the police was investigating it as well. The police finally caught a member of it. It was the man with a gun and two problems solved at the same time. The reason the mafia looked for the picture was that there was the murder scene in the picture of Takahanada and Kumiko. Therefore they tried to get the picture.

JUST LIKE A MOVIE
There was Brad Black who was a handyman. He loved movies very much and one day he met a woman whose name was Gina outside a cinema. She worked as a teacher and they were both poor. They became to know each other and they started to get along. She thought that money was not important but he thought that he wanted much money.
One day they went to watch a movie and they watched Dead Money. It was about a man and a woman who were poor just like them. This man and woman had an idea. She knew another man who was very rich old man and she married the rich man. Then the rich man died of a disease and she got all money of his and the young man and the woman finally got much money and happiness.
After watching the movie, Brad had an idea to get much money. Then one day he met Carrie who was a rich young woman. She didn’t have any brother or sister and her parents died because of car accident a few years ago and she had no relatives. Brad and Carrie became to know each other and they started to get along. He didn’t tell about Carrie to Gina. He married Carrie and was going to kill her in order to get her money. One day he was fixing the roof of Carrie’s house and he told her to help fix. He pushed her on the ladder and tried to kill her, but she escaped at once.
He went to a police station and the police told him that Carrie may be dead but they didn’t find her body, so he put her pen near a lake. Then the police found it and told him about it.
He finally got her money and he was going to go abroad with Gina and they were at an airport. Two police men came to them and he was caught by the police men. There was Carrie at the police station. He was surprised that she was alive.
Carrie got to know Gina for the same work and talked about Gina’s boyfriend and Carrie’s husband. They noticed that the men were the same person and he was Brad. After he tried to kill Carrie, she told about that to Gina and Gina told her to stay a small hotel and never go outside. Then he was arrested.
He told about that to Joe who was a man in prison. Joe told him to make much money writing the story and making the movie, but he told Joe it was too late. That was because Gina and Carrie had already written the story and made the movie and got Oscar. He passed a newspaper of that and the title of the movie was JUST LIKE A MOVIE.

NEW YORK
People often call New York ‘The Big Apple’. In the 1920s and 1930s, jazz musicians all wanted to work in New York. ‘There are a lot of apples on the tree,’ they said, ‘but when you take New York City, you take The Big Apple!’ More than twenty million people visit New York every year. Lots of them say it is the most exciting city in the world.
Four hundred years ago, Manhattan Island was the home of the Algonquin Indians. In 1609, a man called Henry Hudson came up the river to Manhattan. He was British but he was on a Dutch ship, The Half Moon. Today the river is called the Hudson River.
There are a lot of things to see in New York and it is easy for the visitor to get to the different parts of the city. The representative things are the New York subway, the straight avenues of New York, New York buses, a yellow cab and the Staten Island ferry.
There are some places to go. They are Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenwich Village and Central Park in Manhattan, and Coney Island in Brooklyn.
The city is full of skyscrapers, and many of them are not very beautiful but some are wonderful, and very modern. The representative things are The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building and The United Nations Building.
We can enjoy shopping, eating and entertainment including ballet, sport and museums. We can also enjoy parades. New Yorkers love parades and there is one in some part of the city most months of the year. The representative parades are St Patrick’s Day parade, on 17 March, and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
I have known New York but I have not known the famous place and things, so I am glad to know about New York this time. I want to travel New York someday in the future.

Animals in danger
There are more than thirty million species of animals in the world. Every year some of these species disappear and we never see them again. Animals disappeared before there were people and the decrease became rapid after there were people. Around Africa, it is more serious than any other continent because deserts are expanding every year. In addition to the problem of deserts, it is very hot so it is difficult to live not only for human beings but also for animals. What we can do is to cherish every thing we use. We destroy environment and animals are in danger. Lots of animals do not die if we live without wasting food, electricity, and it also include too much luxury. We made many useful things and our life became comfortable, but instead of the life, we destroyed the environment and killed many animals. To cherish environment is important, but I think to continue that is the most important and difficult.

It is Monday, April 13, 1970 and Apollo 13 is flying through space. The three astronauts in the command module are going to the Moon. Suddenly, something goes wrong. There is a loud noise and the command module loses power. Oxygen is leaving the ship. The astronauts can not live without oxygen or power. Though there was some accident, they could go back to the earth. To be astronauts is very difficult but many children want to be it because it is special job that goes to space. I think that looking at the earth from space is wonderful and beautiful, but space is dangerous place so it will be strange atmosphere. I think trips to space will surly come true in the future. Now we can go to space bur it cost vast money. I want the price of trips to space to be more reasonable in the future, and someday I want to go to the moon. I have never felt zero gravity so I don’t know what it is like, but I have watched the scene that an astronaut jumped highly in space and I thought it interesting.

HULC
Bruce is different from other young men. His father was a strange destroyer so Bruce was it as well. He majored in chemistry in his college and one day he got a bad wave on his body and something was boned in his body. It was a kind of nuclear but his body was fine. When he gets angry, his body changes. It turns green and the Hulk is born. Hulk is very strong and very dangerous. He doesn’t have a memory while he is hulk. Hulk wants to destroy everything the feelings are dangerous, but I think that everyone has that feelings and everyone sometimes gets angry and destroy something. However we can control our mind and we don't become like Hulk. Therefore Hulk may symbolize a human that loses a reason. It is important that we control our mind and that is a little difficult for children. But we have to learn that while we are children because it is more difficult to learn that after we are adults.

This story is about a poor boy who becomes a good pianist in the future. His name is Sir Anthony and when he was a child, he had never played the piano. He doesn’t like a music class because he was shy and dose not like sing a song in front of others. When he was 13 years old, he and his friends graduated from the school and it was the time that they started working. He found his job and started to work for a farm. One day a farmer told him to take everything out of an old building and throw it away. In the middle of the rubbish, he found a beautiful old piano. He had never played before, but then, when his fingers touch the piano, he begins to play. He closes his eyes and the musician to him and the music moves his fingers. A man was standing by the entrance of the building and listening his piano. The man thought he will be good pianist and said him to go to a college in London. He need to work for money so he worked in a morning and afternoon, and took the man's lesson in an evening. Finally he became a good famous pianist and took place concerts all over the world.

Bad Love
There was a woman who is a detective and her name was Flick Laine. She attended a party with her friend, Judy Kaplan who was a doctor. Judy took place the party and there was a man, Jack Daly who was a doctor and worked at the same hospital with Judy. Daly had a lot of girlfriend and he talked to Flick. He gave his phone number to her and the party was done.
A few days later, Daly called Flick and said that he wanted to talk to her, so they were going to meet the next day. In the next morning, Flick went to her police station, her office and her boss, Leo told her that Daly was dead. She immediately went to his office and found the dead man. There was a young detective and his name was Reno. He thought that Daly killed himself because he was dead with a gun on his hand. However, Flick was skeptical. She remembered that he had a glass on his left hand on the party and she thought that he was left-handed.
The person who found the body first was Mark Johnson and he cleans the office. He said that he lost the key of the office and one hour later he found. She thought someone made a copy of the key during the time. She went to the store that made copies of keys and asked the staff about it. The staff said a young woman came and the woman had short brown hair. At the funeral of Daly, she attended with her friend, Judy, and they were talking about his girlfriends. There was a lot of young woman who was his girlfriend. Judy said that he had a lot of girlfriend with angry. Then Flick found a young woman who had a short brown hair and walked to her, but she ran in her car and went away. Flick chased her and found her house. She opened the door and she told about Daly. She had her brother and he was a football player, but one day he had something wrong with his back and consulted a doctor. The doctor was Daly. His illness didn’t become good and he finally killed himself because football was everything to him. She asked about the murder but she denied. She never killed Daly. Flick went back to her office.
On the way to her office, she turned the radio on and was listening to a song. Its title was bad love and she thought who killed him. She noticed the murder was Judy who was her friend. Judy was short brown hair and said at the funeral something about him with angry. She was his girlfriend and she loved him, but he didn’t love her. She wanted to be the only girlfriend of him. FLIGHT
Birds move their wings up and down and they fly. People can move their arms up and down but they don’t fly. This is because a bird has big wings and a small body, but people have small arms and big bodies. People watch birds that fly freely and wanted to fly like birds.
The first aero planes were made by the Wright brothers who were from Dayton, Ohio, USA. They made two hundred different wings and tail planes, and watched them move in the wind.
There are many kinds of airplanes in the world. Some of them are used to carry passengers and some of them were used by army. Today airplanes became a famous traffic way but many scientists still continue studying about them not to drop and to be able to fly safely.
I think airplanes are dangerous because passengers can not do anything if the airplane starts dropping. All they can do is waiting. Though they are dangerous, we use them because they are useful, so I hope them to be more safely.

We feel recently that pollution has become one of the biggest problems in the world. A lot of countries have developed and there are many factories and they are working hard. The technology’s quality is now high and the working always makes a lot of trashes, but we have not minded about them. We only concentrate to make the technology high and we have not minded about environment. Now we are facing a big problem about trash that we put out.
People often dump trashes in a forest or in a far place from their house. That is because it took money now to dispose trashes. Some companies dump oil drums or tires, and residents have to live under the pollution. Many people are suffering from the irresponsible behavior.
There are a lot of nuclear power stations in the world and they produce us electricity, so they are necessary for our lives, but they produce trashes as well that can not be disposed, so we dig ground and bury them deeply in the ground.
What we have to do is reducing them but that is not enough. We have to recycle them as well.

Today it is possible to buy or hire a video and watch a film at home, but millions of people all over the world still prefer to go to their town or city cinema for a night out.
Hollywood is famous for movies. There are several great studios at Hollywood and a lot of movies are made there.
Animations are popular now and there are a lot of excellent animation movies that made by the great Hollywood studios. In particular, Walt Disney has made many animation movies.
Computer graphic is famous method to make movies. This method enables us to make movies of ancient scenes or dangerous scenes. It now improves and the quality is high so we can enjoy watching movies.
I think movies make our lives happy. We can spend time with a family to watch movies, so I hope to be made a lot of great movies in future.

Computer graphic is famous method to make movies. This method enables us to make movies of ancient scenes or dangerous scenes. It now improves and the quality is high so we can enjoy watching movies.
I think movies make our lives happy. We can spend time with a family to watch movies, so I hope to be made a lot of great movies in future.

Book Review 2
Help!
There was Frank Wormold who is a writer and his wife’s name was Teresa. She worked hard as a lawyer but he didn’t work hard. He was a writer but he wrote anything before. It was in a morning and he was at the table and read a newspaper. She had to leave their house to go to work. She told him to get a real job and got out of the house.
He stood up and went to bed again. Then he heard a sound that someone knocked the door and he opened it. It was a postman and the postman gave him a letter. The letter was from Mel Parks who was a Hollywood producer and said that his book of “Every Morning” was great and wanted him to write the second story. He telephoned to Mel and Mel told him to have a lunch together this afternoon with the second story. He accepted that but he didn’t write the second story yet and it was nine o’clock. They were going to meet at twelve thirty in the afternoon so he had to write without taking a rest. However he wrote with his hand writing so he couldn’t write fast and it was the time to leave house to go to have a lunch with Mel.
He told Mel that the second story was not finished and Mel suggested buying a computer. He didn’t have much money so Mel gave him a lot of money and he started his work using the computer. Then the telephone rang and it was Teresa and she told him that she couldn’t go back to the house that night.
There was Chip, a woman, on the screen and Chip wanted to help him write. It was good in the beginning and he worked all a few days, but Chip became to want more help and Chip finally changed his story. He got angry and threw the computer far away from the house. He went back to the house and slept in his bed.
Someone woke him up and it was Teresa. He told about Mel and the computer, but there was nothing proves his story. It was a dream. She advised him to write the story and he started writing about the morning.

Book Review 1
Dracula
The story of Dracula is a very famous story all over the world. A man travels to Transylvania and visit to the home of Court Dracula on business. He doesn't really want to go because he is getting married to his beautiful Mina and he doesn't want to leave her. While he is staying in Castle Dracula, he meets Court Dracula and three female vampires, and he can see them only in nights. He thinks he will be killed by them so he tries to kill them. Mina is also in danger, and they finally killed the vampires.
I don't think the existence of vampires but I like horror movies, so this is interesting for me. I think that Dracula is from Europe so Dracula lives in a house like European architecture. I have watched on a TV about Dracula several years ago and it was not true. I don’t believe the existence of Dracula now but I think there was Dracula long ago. I think they had already perished somewhere.
